The FOLC Farm

The FOLC Farm is both a homestead to personally experiment with more environmentally sustainable and physically/spiritually nourishing practices, as well as a learning center members can come together to take classes, learn skills, share knowledge, have discussions and enjoy being in a peaceful setting where connecting with the land and others is possible. Membership is a one-time $5 fee. Members receive a card that allows them to register for and attend classes.

We offer courses with a broad range of content that falls under the umbrella of outdoor education, sustainable environmental practices, skills building, connecting with land, space and others (check the courses offered tab). In addition to courses for adults and kids (who also need to be a part of these practices and conversations!), there are free community events to come together, relax and enjoy each other's company.

The FOLC Farm is ideally located among beautiful forests, prairies, state, city and county parks while still convenient to city amenities. You can visit Payne's Prairie, Boulware SpringsGainesville-Hawthorne Bike Trail, Sweetwater Preserve Trails, Siembre Farm and more all within walking distance of The FOLC Farm. Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Biven's Arm Nature Park, Newnans Lake, Prairie Creek Preserve, Downtown Gainesville, Depot Park, University of Florida and Shands Hospital are just a short drive or bike ride away.

Welcome! I look forward to meeting you.
